I have been a massage therapist for 3 years now and have built Muscle Matters into a thriving mobile massage business with several massage therapists.
In my previous career I spent 16 years in the gemstone industry, heading out to the mining fields of Lightning Ridge in search of the very rare black opal. I was also an opal cutter and wholesaler for some of the biggest gemstone exporters in the country.
Living in Sydney, with successful wholesale business passed on to me from my father, I had a very strong feeling that there were more challenges out there waiting for me.
I came to a crossroads. Do I keep on going on doing what I’ve always done or should I follow my heart and break out and try something new? I had always enjoyed interacting with people on a meaningful level and then the thought came barreling into my head - WOW! I want to be a massage therapist. I enrolled that month and got my diploma in remedial massage.
Making such a dramatic life change wasn’t easy but within months I had the house sold and moved with my wife and son to the Gold Coast in sunny Queensland.
We purchased a massage therapy business called Zenigma and shortly after changed the name to Muscle Matters. We now run a thriving business without many of the stresses we had in our lives in Sydney.
My mission is to make each client a priority and ensure their needs are being met so that they feel 110% better after their massage. Along with the continual growth and learning I receive from clients, I am also enjoying the challenges of building and growing a business.
I now feel great peace in my life and am grateful each day that I followed my heart and took the plunge to practice being the best Massage Therapist I can be.
